Founder - Suzie Robinson, APR
Suzie Robinson, APR, the founder of Atria Public Relations, has a broad background in public relations, marketing, media relations and employee communications. In addition to her passion for the field of medicine, she brings more than sixteen years of progressive experience in delivering results–oriented communications campaigns.
Robinson has provided strategic counsel and project implementation for the medical industry; travel and tourism segment; nonprofit sector; and corporate businesses to effectively achieve campaign objectives. She has worked with associates and clients on all facets of communications including strategic planning, branding, messaging, media relations, and special events management.
She has spent the last ten years of her career focused on the medical field, and in particular the cardiac field. Robinson has established significant media relations for Chase Medical, Computer Motion, the CSANT physician group, CRSTI nonprofit research, Guidant, Harris Methodist, Intuitive, Medtronic, Medical City Dallas Hospital, Merck, Novadaq Technologies Inc., Pfizer, Presbyterian Hospital, St. Jude, ThermaSolutions, and the World Craniofacial Foundation.
Prior to founding Atria P.R., Robinson served as Director of Public Relations for Dallas–based Cardiopulmonary Research Science & Technology Institute (CRSTI). She was responsible for the nonprofit institute’s public relations efforts, marketing campaigns and fundraising initiatives. Robinson worked with the Board of Directors in establishing relationships with the philanthropic community to secure funding and volunteer support. Prior to joining CRSTI, Robinson served as Public Relations Manager for COR Specialty Services, Inc., the management company for COR Specialty Associates of North Texas, P.A. (CSANT). There she was responsible for marketing and communications for CSANT’s 50 physicians, as well as COR’s clients.
Earlier in her career, Robinson served as Public Relations Manager for Lazzaro & Associates, an advertising and public relations agency in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, she provided strategic counsel to JPI, The Worthington, South Padre Island Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Multiple Sclerosis Rodeo and Senator Kay Granger. Robinson gained additional public relations experience during her association with Meeting Professionals International, a 14,000–member nonprofit organization in Dallas, Texas.
Robinson earned her bacherlor’s degree in Communications from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is accredited in Public Relations (APR) and currently serves as the president for the Dallas Public Relations Society of America. She is an active volunteer with the American Heart Association and Irving Bible Church.
